The method

How the check works

Our standings look at each competitive studio’s website the way a parent on a phone would use it. It’s our own check. It doesn’t measure teaching quality or competition success, and it doesn’t use Google’s rankings or reviews.

What we check

Each studio’s homepage is opened in a phone-sized browser on a slowed connection, together with the pages its main buttons lead to. It’s the same free website check BookDanceLessons offers studio owners, and it looks at eight things.

  1. Whether Google and AI assistants such as ChatGPT can read the site’s basics, like its name, location and hours.
  2. Whether an intro offer, price or book button is on the first screens.
  3. Whether a parent can reach the studio from a phone, by tap-to-call, a form, text or chat.
  4. How quickly the main content shows.
  5. Whether reviews or testimonials are easy to find.
  6. Whether a parent can book or register online.
  7. Whether there’s a way to pay online.
  8. If the studio advertises, whether its ads can tell when a parent gets in touch.

How studios are compared

Each check gives a score from 0 to 100. Within an area, studios are compared on their latest check from the last 45 days. A studio without a fresh check isn’t counted in its area’s summary. We don’t publish the order. Each area gets a summary of patterns, and each studio’s verified owner sees its own place.

How often

Checks are re-run about once a month, a few each night. The last summary was published on 31 October 2026.
